Quick answer
Suitability is individual. Density, fragility, treatment history and coverage of attachments matter. We explain which appearance can be planned, the care involved and why postponement may be needed for your hair.
At a glance
- Show your preferred length and everyday styles.
- Share colour, bleach and previous extension history.
- Understand the quantity and service scope before deciding.
Which change should we aim for?
You may like your current length and want fuller ends, or be considering a longer style. At PLATİN Antalya, we assess those aims separately. We compare your reference photo with your own cut and explain which aspects can be planned around your hair, choosing a suitable goal rather than simply copying the photograph.
Short hair is not assessed by centimetres alone
Layers, coverage and attachment placement matter. Being able to add a longer strand does not mean the transition will look balanced in every style. Show how you tie and part your hair. A more limited length or a different plan alongside a cut may be considered.
How is load planned for fine hair?
Overall density and fragility matter as much as strand thickness. Bond size, strand weight and distribution are considered together. The same bond count or weight is not recommended for everyone. A wish for more volume should not push the plan beyond what your own hair can carry.
When should health assessment come first?
The AAD explains that hairstyles which continually pull can cause hair loss. Pain, pulling, sudden or patchy shedding and persistent scalp symptoms should be assessed by a dermatologist first. A salon consultation is not a diagnosis. Extensive bleaching or marked fragility may also make postponement appropriate.
What can you take away from a consultation?
Tell us about recent colour, bleach or straightening, how you tie your hair and your swimming and care habits. If fitting is appropriate, we explain hair colours, textures, length, quantity and total price. Rather than pursuing an unsuitable target, we can discuss a smaller change or waiting before any procedure.
Common questions
Can extensions treat damaged hair?
No. Micro extensions are a cosmetic length and fullness service. For marked damage, we assess the starting condition and may postpone fitting.
Can a photograph establish suitability?
A photo offers an initial impression, but density, fragility, coverage and load may need an in-person check. Let us clarify these at a consultation.
Can we discuss alternatives if I am unsuitable?
Yes. We explain why a goal is unsuitable and can discuss a smaller change, another look or waiting without a procedure.
