Quick answer
Wear time is assessed individually. Growth, attachment condition and ease of care determine when a check is needed. Rather than giving you only a number of months, we explain what to watch for and what happens if you notice changes.
At a glance
- Separate hair lifespan from attachment wear time.
- Understand checks, removal and refitting in advance.
- Do not wait for the scheduled date if discomfort begins.
Reusing the hair does not mean leaving the same bonds unchecked
Your extension hair may be in good condition and considered for reuse. That does not mean the present attachments should remain without checks. At PLATİN Antalya, we consider their position as your hair grows, any tangling and the load on your own hair together. A good outward appearance cannot replace an inspection.
How are checks scheduled?
Density, growth, placement, ease of detangling and daily habits are assessed together. Before leaving the initial fitting, find out when and how checks will happen. A personal plan is more useful than giving everyone the same number of months. A calendar reminder helps, but symptoms should not wait.
Which changes should you report?
Contact the salon if tangling increases, bonds slip, care becomes difficult or you feel pulling. Do not normalise pain. Sudden or patchy hair loss and persistent scalp symptoms need dermatology assessment before cosmetic refitting. Do not try to solve the problem by pulling or cutting attachments at home.
What may change at refitting?
First, professional removal is carried out using a method appropriate to the system. Your own hair and the extension strands are inspected separately. Some strands can be prepared again; unsuitable ones are set aside. You do not have to continue with the same amount or length. The goal can be revised for your current hair.
What affects your refitting budget?
Removal, preparing strands again, fitting, blending and any extra hair can be separate services. Let us assess your existing extensions and explain which work is needed and what the quote includes. Share holidays, swimming and frequent heat styling too, so we can discuss maintenance and the next visit around your routine.
Common questions
Can everyone wear extensions for the same period?
No. We discuss checks based on your own hair and attachments rather than a fixed period. Report changes in care early.
Is good-looking hair always reusable?
Not necessarily. After removal, we assess the strands and your hair separately and explain what can be prepared again and any additional needs.
What if a problem starts before my check?
Contact us early. Do not wait with pain, slipping or increasing tangling; consult a dermatologist for hair loss or persistent scalp symptoms.
Know what your next extension visit involves
Mention your existing extensions when booking. At PLATİN Antalya in Lara, we assess attachments and care, then explain checks, removal, possible reuse and the scope of the refitting price before work begins.
