The short answer
Micro extension care depends on your own hair, the added strands and the attachment system. Knowing which brush to use, where products belong, how to dry your hair and when to request a check makes the routine easier to follow.
At a glance
- Bring your brush and product names to the consultation.
- Start at the ends without pulling on attachments.
- Request a check if tangling or discomfort increases.
Build washing around your routine
Tell us how often you wash and which products you use. We consider your scalp’s needs alongside the system instructions. Clean gently in the direction of the hair instead of piling it on top, then rinse thoroughly. Let us explain where conditioner, masks and oils may go rather than applying one ban or waiting period to every product.
Support the roots while detangling
Use a suitable brush or comb, beginning at the ends in small sections. Support the hair below the bonds rather than pulling a knot upwards. Ask the salon if bonds begin tangling together. Brushing only the surface can delay noticing root build-up; develop a checking routine that suits your hair.
Dry the attachment area
Remove excess water without tugging and dry the root and bond area appropriately. Do not sleep with wet bonds. Confirm heat limits for blow-dryers, curling tools and straighteners, and avoid direct contact with attachments. Heat suitability and protection depend on the extension material; do not assume one universal temperature.
Include sleep and holidays in the plan
Choose a loose, low-tension style for sleeping rather than a tight one. Follow personal guidance for rinsing and drying after the sea or pool. Mention frequent swimming, sport or intensive styling before fitting so your plan remains practical during everyday life and holidays.
Let us address the difficult part of your care
If your brush keeps catching in the same place or tangling increases, contact us for a check. At PLATİN Antalya, we review your brushing routine, products and attachments to explain what needs adjusting. Do not regard pain or irritation as an adjustment period; hair loss or persistent scalp symptoms need assessment by a dermatologist.
Common questions
Should I wash extensions every day?
Do not assume daily washing is required. We can clarify an appropriate frequency for your scalp and attachment system.
Are oils and masks completely forbidden?
There is no universal ban. Share the products you own so we can discuss their suitability and placement for your system.
Can I separate tangled bonds at home?
Do not pull or cut them apart. Tell us where tangling is increasing and arrange an inspection of the attachments.
